I have a totally unfounded suspicion that this is only my store (simply because we're getting a remodel in August, part of which is shrinking the gun department), and I don't get paid enough for them to tell me these kinds of things, but I figured I'd throw it out there for those of you that might be interested enough to check in your area...
Effective immediately, Walmart will no longer be carrying the Remington 11-87. Period. As soon as what's on hand now is gone, that's it. Which means, it's been reduced from $627 down to $470. Which is darn close to being a steal. As it so happens, Remington's annual Fall Rebate packages arrive in stores more or less sometime this week (we got ours today). Which just happens to contain a $50 MIR on the 11-87. I don't care that it's got Mossy Oak camo and a 24" barrel, that's a REALLY good price for an 11-87. Duracoat will fix one problem, and the other can be fixed for about $160. I am seriously tempted to get a credit card just to get a gun I don't need... Because I don't get paid enough to afford one right now. |

That's a great deal but I'm in the same boat: no need for yet another shotgun. If Walmart puts 870 slug barrels on clearance though, I'd grab one just to have it.
Oh by the way, all my local stores have lifted their 6 box maximum ammo rule. |
